Every coach has his own speciality. Depening on what is bothering you, the best is to hire a coach that delivers quality and has experience with your specific needs. For myself I know very good what my strong and weak points are and how I can and want to guide somebody. Cebrián doesn’t have quantity coaching but has a certain amount of clients to guarantee personal attention. Cebrián focuses on job related coaching and clients who have commitment towards changing while providing evidence of experience and education.
To guarantee personal attention and quality to my clients, I work with a certain amount of clients. This way I can give them the time they need for coaching, contact me when needed and I know every clients details. Also it allows me to develop myself as a coach to provide better service by reflection, intervision, supervision and education.
During a trajectory I am 360 days per year available for my clients, from 9 am till 9 pm. I have always done it like this and for as well my clients as myself it works perfect. I know te background of each client and their own unique situation. So when a client calls me I exactly know who I am talking to. I don’t have to study first a file or notes to pick up te conversation. There are a few special days on which I am free and my clients always take that in regard. It works in harmony and doesn’t need more explanation. If you are not a client yet, you can contact me on Monday till Friday between 10am and 4 pm.
Not everybody knows what is bothering them or where to start, I understand that. That’s why many times people prospone their changing. ‘’It’s fine, I will start next week, I’ll see how it will go’’. As long as there is no urgency to change, it will not motivate te client. That is not effective for neither te client or the coach. I expect a client to have the commitment and will to change and actively work and that. I will check this in the first conversation and monitor it during our trajectory. If needed I will adress it to the client. Depening on these conversations we can continue or end the coaching. And say goodbye to each other.
In 2005 I had a great teacher who inspired me to start coaching, which I did after graduation in 2009. Back then there weren’t as many coaches as now. If you ask my opinion, there has been a uncontrolled growth of coaches. There are coaches, wether or not member of the EMCC, which are very good. The membership gives something extra to prove that a coach is serious with his job. Unfortunately there are many people who call themselves coach but don’t or barely help their clients to improve. This also effected my creditbility. By being a member of the EMCC I improve my qualities and I help to preserve the term coaching for what it stands. It motivated me to become even a better professional, taking more education and other steps to improve continuously.
At this moment I am working on that EIA-level. It is a complicated and serious proces to go through to prove that I have the qualities as required by the Dutch NOBCO, which is part of the EMCC. It takes time to achieve that and maintain or get to a higher level. Therefor I spent a lot of time on development, working with a certain amount of clients at the same time.
